Today is the 70th birthday of Sheikh Hasina, Prime Minister and the President of Awami League.On September 28, 1947, Sheikh Hasina was born at Tungipara in Gopalganj district. She is the eldest of the five children of father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and Begum Fazilatunnesa.Hasina is one of the most powerful women in the world, ranking 36th on Forbes’ list of The World’s 100 Most Powerful Women in 2016. Her political career has spanned more than four decades during which she has been both Prime Minister and opposition leader.Sheikh Hasina is now in the USA where she attended the 71st UN General Assembly.Awami League will hold a discussion at the Institution of Engineers, Bangladesh at 3 pm.
