The Oikyafront candidate professor Abu Sayed’s, a former Awami League leader, motorcade came under attack in Santhia, Pabna on Thursday.
He is going to contest for the Pabna-1 constituency in the upcoming national polls, which is scheduled to be held on December 30.
The attackers are yet to be identified.
He is now under police protection, said the officer-in-charge of Santhia Police Station.
He might file a written complaint against the miscreants.
Abu Sayeed was on his way to Dhopadaho village in the upazila for electioneering when a group of miscreants attacked on him and damaged his cars.
