JaPa candidate Sattar withdraws from election

The presidium member of Jatiya Party (JaPa) and its candidate for Jamalpur-1 constituency MA Sattar has withdrawn from election and supported Awami League’s candidate Abul Kalam Azad. 

Bakshiganj upazila JaPa’s General Secretary AKM Hamidullah revealed this information at a press conference at the party office on Wednesday evening. 

Sattar submitted his withdrawal application to Returning Officer on December 24, said Hamiddulah.  

The leaders and activists of JaPa will campaign for Azad to win the polls, he added.

Bakshiganj upazila JaPa’s president Hamidur Rahman, its Joint Secretary Akramul Haque, Dhanua Kamalpur Union JaPa’s leader Murad, golam Mostofa, Abdul Kader Dhumali were present among others during this time.
