Novoair enters safe airline list

Novoair has entered into the world safe airline list as the first private airline of Bangladesh through a global airlines rating body following footsteps of national flag carrier Biman Bangladesh Airlines.

According to the Australian based International Aviation Safety Rating Agency airlinesrating.com, the Novoair received three stars for ensuring passengers’ safe travel, reports BSS.

The rating agency prepared the safety ratings following data analysis of 405 airlines authorities’ with 12 categories.

From the same agency, Biman achieved five stars out of seven in terms of air safety as it has been able to meet most of the major parameters regarding safety concern.

The national flag carrier got three stars for achieving International Operational Safety Audit (IOSA), one star for not being enlisted in the aviation blacklist of European Union and another star for not having any fatality record in the last 10 years.

Novoair is also the only private sector airlines from Bangladesh which have both European safety agency-EASA and Federal Aviation Authority (FAA) of USA endorsement.

A Novoair press release said here today that it has always given priority to its customers’ safety, security, comfort and on time departure.

Currently, NOVOAIR operates daily flights from Dhaka to Chattogram, Cox’s Bazar, Jashore, Sylhet, Saidpur, Barishal, Rajshahi and Kolkata with six ATR 72-500 aircraft.
