Second phase of Bishwa Ijtema ends

The second phase of the first part of the Bishwa Ijtema, organised by Tabligh Jamaat's Maulana Zubair group, concluded with the Akheri Munajat (final prayer) on Wednesday, February 5. The prayer began at 12:08 pm and ended at 12:27 pm, led by Maulana Zubair, who also conducted the Munajat for the first phase of the Ijtema.

With this prayer, the six-day-long Ijtema came to an end. The second phase of the Ijtema began on Monday, February 3. The first phase started on January 31 and concluded on February 2 with the Akheri Munajat.

On Wednesday, following the Fazr prayers, Maulana Md Farooq from Bangalore, India, delivered a sermon to the devotees. The sermon was translated into Bengali by Mufti Amanul Haque. At 9:30 am, Maulana Abdur Rahman from India gave another sermon, followed by an important advisory sermon by Maulana Ibrahim Dewala from India.

The Bishwa Ijtema, organized by the followers of Maulana Saad, is scheduled to begin on February 14 and end on February 15, concluding with the Akheri Munajat. This year, the event will be organized in compliance with the conditions set by the Ministry of Home Affairs. According to these conditions, this will be the last Ijtema for the followers of Maulana Saad.
