The Bangladesh Jeweler’s Association, BAJUS, has reduced the price of 22 carat gold by Tk 2,403 to Tk 1,50,967 per bhori (11.664 grams).
Besides, 21-carat gold was cut by Tk 2,298 to Tk 1,44,097 a bhori, 18-carat by Tk 1,971 to Tk 1,23,510, and gold of traditional method by Tk 1,679 to Tk 1,01,722 respectively.
The prices have been decreased following a rise in the price of pure gold in the local market, BAJUS said in a statement today.
The new prices will come into effect from Friday, February 28.
Earlier on February 23, the price of 22-carat gold declined by Tk 1,155 to Tk 1,53,370 per bhori, while 21-carat gold decreased by Tk 1,108 to Tk 1,46,395 per bhori.
Similarly, 18-carat gold declined by Tk 945 to Tk 1,25,481 per bhori, and traditional gold by Tk 805 to Tk 1,03,401 per bhori.
