Voter count reaches 12.37 cr, men surpass women

The Chief Election Commissioner of Bangladesh, AMM Nasir Uddin, announced that the total number of voters in the country is now 123,732,274, with male voters outnumbering female voters.

He shared this information during the inaugural ceremony of an event marking National Voter Day on Sunnday, March 2. During the ceremony, the Chief Election Commissioner released the final voter list, which reveals that 63,361,615 voters are male, while 60,369,665 are female.

National Voter Day has been celebrated since 2019, and this year marks the seventh edition of the event organized by the Election Commission.

The Chief Election Commissioner said, "We believe you have unwavering support for the Election Commission. We have promised the nation a free, fair, and credible election, and we rely on your cooperation in this effort." He also mentioned that in January, a door-to-door campaign was launched to update the voter list, and data entry is still ongoing.
