Magura rape victim in CMH’s PICU: ISPR

The eight-year-old child, who was raped in Magura, is currently receiving the highest level of medical care at the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) of the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) in Dhaka. 

This was confirmed by Lieutenant Colonel Sami-ud-Daula Chowdhury, Director of the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), on Sunday night.

Earlier, on Saturday, March 8, the child was transferred from Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) to CMH, according to DMCH's Director, Brigadier General Md Asaduzzaman.

The child was admitted to DMCH in a seriously ill condition on the night of Thursday, March 6. She was then moved to the hospital's PICU, where she was placed on life support on Friday, March 7.

Notably, the child was raped by her sister’s father-in-law on Wednesday, March 5, while visiting their home in Magura.
