Advance train ticket sales for the upcoming Eid-ul-Fitr began on Friday morning and will continue until March 20.
Tickets for trains in the western region became available online at 8:00 am, while tickets for trains in the eastern region will be issued starting at 2:00 pm.
Tickets for March 24 are available today, with all advance tickets being sold online. The sale will continue for seven consecutive days.
A notice from the Ministry of Railways, issued on Sunday (March 9), stated that those purchasing tickets on March 14 will be able to travel on March 24. Furthermore, tickets for March 25 will be available on March 15, tickets for March 26 on March 16, tickets for March 27 on March 17, tickets for March 28 on March 18, tickets for March 29 on March 19, and tickets for March 30 on March 20.
Additionally, tickets for March 31, April 1, and April 2 will be sold based on the sighting of the moon. This year, a total of 35,315 advance tickets will be sold daily for trains departing from Dhaka.
