Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus and other BIMSTEC leaders attended the official dinner of the BIMSTEC Summit at the Grand Ballroom of Shangri-La Hotel Bangkok, Thailand, on Thursday evening (April 3).
Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other leaders of BIMSTEC member states joined the dinner hosted by Thailand Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra.
The Thai prime minister welcomed the BIMSTEC leaders and exchanged pleasantries.
She made a brief remark at the dinner which was followed by a toast.
At the dinner table, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Adviser Yunus sat side by side.
According to Deputy Press Secretary to the Chief Adviser, Abul Kalam Azad Majumdar, Yunus and Modi are set to hold a bilateral meeting on the sidelines of the summit on Friday (April 4).
Additionally, the Chief Adviser will meet with the Prime Ministers of Thailand and Bhutan as part of his diplomatic engagements.
