2 minor siblings found dead with throats slit in Tongi

The police recovered the throat-slit bodies of two minor siblings in Gazipur's Tongi on Friday afternoon, April 18.

The deceased were identified as Maliha, 6, and Abdullah, 3, children of Abdul Baten, from Tatoakandi village under Bancharampur police station in Brahmanbaria. The family had been living in a rented house in East Arichpur area of Tongi.

Quoting family members, Tongi East police station's officer-in-charge Faridul Islam said the relatives found the two children lying in a pool of blood in East Arichpur Rupbaner Morertek area around 4:00pm and immediately informed police.

It is unclear who killed them and why, the OC added.
