The Bangladesh Jeweler’s Association, BAJUS, has decreased the prices of gold, with reducing 22 carat gold by Tk 5,342 to Tk 1,72,546 per bhori (11.664 grams).
Besides, 21-carat gold was cut by Tk 5,109 to Tk 1,64,696 a bhori, 18-carat by Tk 4,374 to Tk 1,41,179, and gold of traditional method by Tk 3,732 to Tk 1,16,780 respectively.
The prices have been reduced following a fall in the price of pure gold in the local market, BAJUS said in a statement on Wednesday, April 23.
The new prices will come into effect from Thursday, April 24.
Earlier on Tuesday, April 22, the price of 22-carat gold increased by Tk 5,342 to Tk 1,77,88 per bhori, the highest rise in gold prices in the country’s history so far.
Similarly, 21-carat gold rose by Tk 5,109 to Tk 1,69,805 per bhori, 18-carat gold by Tk 4,374 to Tk 1,45,543 per bhori, and traditional gold by Tk 3,732 to Tk 1,20,512 per bhori.
