Iran has offered to mediate between Pakistan and India following a deadly attack in Kashmir that has escalated tensions between the two neighbors, Tehran’s foreign ministry said Saturday.
In a phone call with Pakistani Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar on Friday, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi "expressed Iran’s readiness to extend its goodwill efforts to help reduce tensions," the ministry said in a statement.
Araghchi also posted on X (formerly Twitter) that Iran was "ready to use its good offices" to help resolve the conflict.
