Hasnat alleges deliberate trial delays to benefit AL

Hasnat Abdullah, Chief Organiser (South) of the National Citizen Party (NCP), has alleged that deliberate delays are being made in the name of trials to give the Awami League an opportunity to reorganize.

He made the claim in a post on his verified Facebook account at 12:49 pm on Thursday.

In the post, Hasnat wrote: “In this month alone, India’s intelligence agency and High Commission have held at least twenty-three meetings at various levels of Bangladesh’s government, non-government, and military institutions. Mark my words — deliberate delays are being made in the name of trials to give the Awami League an opportunity to reorganise. At one point, it will be said that banning a once-popular political party is not our responsibility.”

He further added: “We do not stand with anyone whose agenda does not include the trial of the genocidal Awami League or the demand to ban the Awami League.”
