34,776 Hajj pilgrims reach Makkah, 4 die

A total of 34,776 pilgrims, including organisers, have, so far, travelled to Saudi Arabia from Bangladesh this year to perform Hajj.

Another Bangladeshi pilgrim died after reaching Saudi. The dead, Md Shahjahan Kabir, 60, was a resident of Dhaka’s Mohammadpur.

With this, four people died after going to Saudi to perform Hajj.

The Ministry of Religious Affairs shared this information in its latest bulletin published on Hajj management portal on Thursday, May 8.

The first Hajj flight left Dhaka for Saudi Arabia on April 29 and the last flight is scheduled to depart on May 31.

A total of 87,100 Bangladeshi pilgrims will go to Saudi Arabia for Hajj this year.
