The number of unemployed individuals in Bangladesh has surged to 26.1 lakh by the end of 2024, according to the Bangladesh Bureau of Statistics (BBS).
The BBS released its labour force survey on Sunday, revealing a 60,000 increase in unemployment from July-September 2024 (25.5 lakh) to October-December 2024.
The unemployment rate rose to 4.48% in 2024, up from 4.15% in 2023.
