The National Citizen Party (NCP) has approved its constitution in the sixth general meeting with a provision that would prevent an individual from serving as the party president or general secretary for more than two terms.
NCP Member Secretary Akhter Hossain shared this information in a press conference after the meetting at the party's temporary office in Dhaka's Bangamotor on Friday, June 20.
The meeting took some decisions including there will be a political council, a national council and a central committee in the NCP, and president and secretary will be liable to the political council, said Akhter.
Today's meeting also unanimously decided about submitting an application to the Election Commission (EC) seeking its registration as a political party, he added.
