The government has announced that all coaching centres will remain closed during the Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and its equivalent examinations aimed at preventing question paper leak and rumour.
All coaching centres will stay shut from Wednesday (June 25) midnight to August 15, the Ministry of Education said in a notice on Tuesday afternoon, June 24.
Legal action will be taken against those who would be found involved in leaking question papers or spreading rumour regarding leak and supplying illegal means among examinees, the notice said.
This year, 12,51,111 students – 6,18,015 male and 6,33,096 female – will take part in the HSC and its equivalent exams to begin from June 26.
