The Bangladesh Jeweler’s Association, BAJUS, has reduced the prices of gold, with 22 carat gold down by Tk 1,668 to Tk 1,72,860 per bhori (11.664 grams).
Besides, 21-carat gold was cut by Tk 1,598 to Tk 1,64,999 a bhori, 18-carat by Tk 1,376 to Tk 1,41,426, and gold of traditional method by Tk 1,166 to Tk 1,17,002 respectively.
The prices have been decreased following a reduction in the price of pure gold in the local market, BAJUS said in a statement on Tuesday, June 24.
The new prices will come into effect from Wednesday, June 25.
Earlier on June 14, the price of 22-carat gold rose by Tk 2,182 to Tk 1,74,528 per bhori, while 21-carat gold increased by Tk 2,100 to Tk 1,66,597 per bhori.
Similarly, 18-carat gold went up by Tk 1,808 to Tk 1,42,802 per bhori, and traditional gold surged by Tk 1,528 to Tk 1,18,168 per bhori.
