Some 22,391 students were absent on the second day of the ongoing Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and its equivalent examinations on Sunday, June 29.
On the day, 41 examinees were expelled for adopting illegal means in the test, according to a notice signed by Inter-Education Board Coordination Committee president and Dhaka Education Board chairman Prof Khandekar Ehsanul Kabir.
On the first day, 19,759 students did not attend the exam, while 43 were expelled for adopting illegal means.
The Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and its equivalent examinations began across the country on Thursday, June 26.
This year as many as 12,51,111 students under 11 education boards are taking part in the exams. Of the examinees, 6,18,015 are male students and 6,33,096 females.
