The Public Service Commission (PSC) has published the final results of the 44th Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) examination.
In a notification issued on Monday night, the PSC said it has recommended the appointment of 1,690 candidates to various cadre positions.
The commission stated that it is temporarily issuing nominations for the appointment of 1,690 candidates who were finally selected out of 1,710 available cadre posts under the 44th BCS examination, held in 2021.
Due to a shortage of qualified candidates, nominations could not be made for 20 posts in the technical/professional cadre, it added.
The notification also mentioned that despite being successful in both the written and viva examinations, some candidates could not be nominated for cadre posts.
Initiatives will be taken to recommend the appointment of such candidates to non-cadre posts, subject to vacancy and in accordance with government rules, the PSC added.
