A case has been filed in a Dhaka court against two individuals, including film actor Monowar Hossain Dipjol, over allegations of acid attack and assault.
The other accused in the case is Dipjol’s personal secretary, Md Faisal.
A woman named Rajida Akter (35) filed the case as the complainant before Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Mahbub Alam’s court on Tuesday. The court recorded the complainant’s statement and directed the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) to investigate the matter and submit a report.
The complainant’s lawyer, Mujahidul Islam, confirmed the information.
