3 more dengue deaths, 444 fresh cases recorded in 24 hrs

Three more deaths were reported from dengue in the last 24 hours (from Monday 8:00am to Tuesday 8:00am), taking the total number of fatalities from the mosquito-borne disease to 65 this year.

The new deaths were reported in Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC).

During the period, 444 more patients were hospitalised with viral fever, raising the total cases to 18,026 to date this year, the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) said in a statement today (July 22).

Of the new cases, 127 were reported in Barishal division (outside the city corporation), 51 in Chattogram division (outside the city corporation), 68 in Dhaka division (outside the city corporation), 40 in Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC), 81 in Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC), and 8 in Mymensingh division (outside the city corporation).

Besides, 29 were reported in Rajshahi division (outside the city corporation), five in Rangpur division (outside the city corporation) and 2 in Sylhet division (outside the city corporation).
