Dr Chong Si Jack, a physician from Singapore General Hospital, arrived in Dhaka to assist the Bangladeshi medical team following a fighter jet crash on a building of Milestone School and College in Uttara, Dhaka.
Representatives from the Ministry of Health received him at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport late Tuesday night.
According to the ministry, Dr Chong Si Jack, a senior consultant at Singapore General Hospital, came to Bangladesh to provide medical assistance and expert advice in the aftermath of the recent Milestone tragedy. His visit is being regarded as a significant step in enhancing medical support efforts.
Additionally, three other prominent representatives from Singapore are expected to arrive in Bangladesh on Wednesday (July 23). They are Vijaya Rao, Senior Director at SingHealth; Poon Lai Kuan; and Lim Yu Han Jovan.
The purpose of the visit is to strengthen international support for the treatment and rehabilitation of those affected by the Milestone tragedy and to enhance bilateral cooperation in the health sector.
