At least four people were killed as a speedy train hit a CNG-run-auto-rickshaw at Rashidnagar level crossing in Ramu of Cox’s Bazar on Saturday afternoon.
One of the deceased was identified as the auto-rickshaw driver Habibullah, 42.
Ramu police station officer-in-charge Taiyabur Rahman said that the accident took place when the auto-rickshaw was crossing the track at the unmanned level crossing, the Cox's Bazar Express hit it while it was heading towards Bharowali, leaving three of its passengers and the driver killed on the spot.
Two were women and a child among the deceased, the police official said, adding that they were looking into the matter.
