Hold onto your popcorn – Hero Alam just turned his life into a full-blown Bollywood tragedy… with a twist that even Karan Johar wouldn’t dare write.
Just days after threatening suicide live on Facebook, the self-styled “hero” of social media drama is now fighting for his life after reportedly suffering a heart attack on Wednesday, August 13.
Yes, you read that right. The man who once declared, “Hero Alam doesn’t die with pills – today I’ll die for real!” may have dodged death by drama, but this time, his heart couldn’t handle the plot twist.
It all started on Tuesday when Ashraful Hossain Alam, better known as Hero Alam, posted a tear-soaked, rage-fuelled video on Facebook after receiving divorce papers from his wife, Riya Moni.
“I could not accept divorce… and her affairs,” he cried, camera rolling. “Riya Moni lies. Her love was fake. I was the real one. Today, I will prove how much I love her.”
Then came the grand finale: “My funeral will be held at my residence tomorrow at 5 pm.”
Cue dramatic music.
Fans panicked. Relatives rushed in. Children wept. And, plot twist!, Alam withdrew his suicide plan, claiming he was persuaded by his family and kids. “I’m staying… for now,” he said in a follow-up video.
But the universe wasn’t done with him.
By Wednesday afternoon, news broke: Hero Alam had suffered a heart attack.
The update came not from a hospital bulletin, but from, where else?, his Facebook page. A cryptic post read: “Hero Alam has been admitted. Pray for him.”
Calls to his phone? No answer. Family sources? Radio silence. Drama level? Maximum.
This isn’t Alam’s first brush with self-destruction.
A few days earlier, he allegedly downed sleeping pills at his home in Dhunat, Bogura, after a fight with Riya Moni. A friend found him, rushed him to hospital. And in true telenovela fashion, Riya Moni herself arrived, tears and all, and took him home.
They reconciled. They reunited. The nation sighed in relief.
Until… they didn’t.
Alam then dropped a digital bombshell: a series of videos showing Riya Moni with Max Ovi, another social media content creator, cuddling, laughing, and possibly plotting their own drama series.
“I have proof,” Alam declared. “She’s cheating.”
Riya, unfazed, hit back with the ultimate power move: a public divorce announcement.
And just like that, the hero became the heartbroken villain of his own story.
Is It Love? Is It Mental Health? Or Just Clicks?
While fans debate whether this is a cry for help or a cry for attention, mental health advocates are sounding the alarm.
“Behind every viral post is a human being in pain,” said a Dhaka-based psychologist. “When emotions are played out online, real suffering gets turned into entertainment.”
But in the world of Bangladesh’s digital fame culture, where every breakup goes live and every breakdown trends, Hero Alam may be the most tragic influencer of them all.
