The Detective Branch (DB) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) arrested Nasir Uddin Sathi, chairman of private television channel Mytv, in the capital's Gulshan on Sunday night, August 17.
DB's joint commissioner (South) Mohammad Nasirul Islam confirmed the matter to Jago News.
Sathi, also father of content creator Tawhid Afridi, is an accused in a murder case with the Jatrabari police station relating to the Anti-Discrimination Students Movement incident and he was apprehended in the case, the official said.
He will be produced before the court on Monday, August 18.
