Four seaports advised to hoist cautionary signal 3

Due to active seasonal winds, cloud formations continue to move over the northern Bay of Bengal. In this situation, the Meteorological Department has advised Bangladesh’s four seaports to hoist local cautionary signal number 3. The latest weather bulletin, signed by meteorologist AKM Nazmul Haque on Wednesday (August 20), provided these details.

The bulletin warned that strong or stormy winds may affect the northern Bay of Bengal, the country’s coastal areas, and the seaports. The seaports of Chattogram, Cox’s Bazar, Mongla, and Payra have been instructed to hoist local cautionary signal number 3.

Fishing boats and trawlers operating in the northern Bay of Bengal have been advised to navigate cautiously near the coast until further notice.
