The US Embassy in Dhaka on Thursday said that applicants who submit fraudulent documents will face legal consequences under US law and in the country where they applied for the visa.
“No visas are issued until all security concerns are fully resolved,” the Embassy said in a brief message posted on its verified Facebook page at 10:27 am on Thursday.
“The Department remains committed to upholding the highest standards of national security in the visa adjudication process,” it added.
“We do not issue visas to applicants who submit fraudulent documents, and they face legal consequences under US law and in the country where they applied for the visa,” the statement said.
