Sukharanjan Bali, a witness in the case against Jamaat-e-Islami leader Delwar Hossain Sayedee for crimes against humanity, has filed a complaint with the International Crimes Tribunal (ICT) regarding his alleged abduction, torture, and detention in India.
He submitted the complaint to the Chief Prosecutor’s office of the tribunal on Thursday morning.
Sukharanjan Bali was allegedly abducted from the main gate of the ICT on 5 November 2012, before he could appear and testify in the case. He later claimed that Bangladesh Police and Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) personnel pushed him across the border and handed him over to the Indian Border Security Force (BSF).
