Krishak Sramik Janata League (KSJL) President Bangabir Kader Siddique's Tangail home came under attack and was vandalised in the early hours of Sunday, September 7.
The incident occurred at his home at Akurtakur Para in the town around 12:30am.
Employees of Kader Siddique's home said a group of 10-15 people wearing helmets came in front of the house. A few of them entered inside the house using a ladder as the main gate was closed. They vandalised two cars on the ground floor and windows of the house.
Kader Siddique's car driver Liton told Jago News that the attackers wanted to burn the cars with petrol but they escaped when the people in the house sensed their presence.
Sadar police station officer-in-charge Tanvir Ahmed said the police personnel rushed to the spot at night, and the attackers had fled before the law enforcers reached.
The police are working to identify those who carried out the attack, he said.
It is reported that Kader Siddiqui will brief the reporters at his home at 12:00 noon in this regard.
