Biman's Nepal-bound flight returns as airport closed

A Kathmandu-bound flight of Biman Bangladesh Airlines has been forced to return to Dhaka as Nepal cancelled all flights at the Tribhuvan International Airport from 12:45pm on Tuesday, September 9, amid student protests in the country.

The flight, BG-371, carrying 114 passengers took off for Kathmandu around 12:30pm but it was forced to return to Dhaka after flying Nepal's sky as the Tribhuvan International Airport authorities did not give it clearance to land, a Biman source said.
