Alleging planned rigging, Abidul Islam Khan, the vice president (VP) candidate from the Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal-backed panel, has rejected the results of the Dhaka University Central Students’ Union (DUCSU) election.
He made the remarks around 2:30 am on Wednesday (September 9), while results from different polling centres were still being announced.
“I had anticipated this orchestrated rigging since noon. The figures have been manipulated at will. I reject this staged farce,” said Abidul Islam.
