Voting in the long-awaited elections to the Jahangirnagar University Central Students' Union (JUCSU) and hall unions will be held on Thursday, September 11.
The voting will open at 9:00am at 224 booths of 21 centres and end at 5:00am without any break.
Some 1,500 police, seven platoons of BGB and five platoons of Ansar members will be deployed on the campus on the day to maintain law and order situation.
This year, a total of 177 candidates are vying for 25 posts to the DUCSU and there are 11,897 voters.
Nine are contesting for vice-president (VP), nine for general secretary (GS), six for joint general secretary (women) and 10 for joint general secretary (men) positions in the polls.
