A man, who was injured in an air conditioner explosion in Dhaka's Jatrabari recently, died in a hospital in the capital on Wednesday afternoon, September 24.
The victim, Tuhin Hossain, 38, passed away around 12:30pm, while undergoing treatment at the National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery, said Shaon Bin Rahman, resident doctor at the facility.
Around 47 per cent of Tuhin's body was burnt, he said.
An air conditioner exploded in a house in Dhalpur Bou Bazar area of Jatrabari in the early hours of Saturday, September 20, leaving four members of the family injured.

Later, the injured – identified as Tuhin Hossain, 38, his wife Iva Aktar, 30, their two minor sons Tanvir, 9, and Tawhid, 7 – were admitted to the National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery in the capital.
Iba's sister Farjana Aktar who took them to hospital said the AC exploded when her sister, brother-in-law and their two children were asleep.
Dr Shaon said Iva's body's 15 per cent, Tanvir's 40 per cent and Tawhid's 8 per cent were burnt.
