The expatriate Bangladeshis sent around $2.23 billion or $223.40 crore in remittances in the first 24 days of September, the third month of current fiscal year 2025-26.

The amount is $32.50 crore more than that of the same period of the last FY 2024-25 when the country received $190.90 crore remittance, according to latest data of the central bank.
The expatriates sent $713.40 crore from July 1 to September 24 in the current FY, showing a 17 per cent increase compared to the same period of the last FY when the country witnessed $604.50 crore in remittances.
