In a plot twist worthy of a prime-time soap opera, viral content maker Hero Alam (real name Ashraful Alam) has filed a sensational case naming two of his closest, yet most treacherous, confidants: his wife Riya Moni’s alleged lover, Max Ovi, and his own secret girlfriend, Mithila, both fellow social media stars.
The explosive legal move comes after Hero Alam was brutally attacked last Monday evening in Aftabnagar’s M Block, where, according to police, a gang on motorcycles ambushed him, beat him senseless, and vanished into the night. Locals rushed the bloodied creator to hospital, but no arrests have been made.
Now, Hero Alam is pointing fingers straight at the heart of his personal chaos.
In a case filed with Badda Police Station, Mithila is listed as accused number 1, while Max Ovi (real name Kamrul Islam Riaz) is accused number 4, accused of orchestrating the assault with deadly intent.
Speaking to Jago News late Sunday night, a visibly shaken but defiant Hero Alam dropped a bombshell: “Mithila and her husband want to kill me. Max Ovi also wants me dead. If he can get rid of me, he can marry Riya Moni. There are videos all over social media proving their threats. That’s why I’ve named them both. I’ll give the police more evidence tonight, everything I’ve got.”
According to his written complaint, six masked assailants, allegedly acting on orders from Mithila and Max Ovi, dragged him into a nearby bush, where Max Ovi allegedly clubbed him on the head with a stick, while another attacker slashed his elbow with a sharp iron scale, leaving him bleeding and battered. They also smashed his Honor phone and issued chilling threats before fleeing.
This isn’t the first time these names have clashed in court. Back in June 2024, Hero Alam stormed a Hatirjheel apartment after discovering Riya Moni and Max Ovi together, only to be allegedly beaten by Max Ovi on the spot. He filed an attempted murder case, leading to Max Ovi’s arrest. But the couple walked free days later on a symbolic Tk 1,000 bail, a detail that now feels like foreshadowing.
Badda Police Station OC Md Habibur Rahman confirmed: “Hero Alam filed the case himself as the complainant. We’re actively investigating.”
With love, betrayal, violence, and viral fame all tangled in one sordid saga, Bangladesh’s digital drama just hit fever pitch. And if social media reactions are anything to go by, this scandal is far from over.
