Professor Muhammad Yunus, Chief Adviser to Bangladesh’s Interim Government, has arrived in Rome, the capital of Italy, to attend the annual World Food Forum organised by the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO).
He landed at Rome’s Fiumicino International Airport aboard a Biman Bangladesh Airlines flight at approximately 5 pm local time on Sunday, 12 October. He was received at the airport by A.T.M. Rakibul Haque, Bangladesh’s Ambassador to Italy.
The information was confirmed on Sunday evening by Abul Kalam Azad Majumder, Deputy Press Secretary to the Chief Adviser.
Earlier that day, Professor Yunus departed from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka on a Biman flight at 11:30 am.
The World Food Forum is one of the FAO’s flagship annual events, bringing together global leaders, policymakers, experts, and young entrepreneurs for high-level discussions on food security, agricultural innovation, and sustainable development.
