A six-member delegation from the Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Women’s Division, led by Secretary Principal Nurunnisa Siddiqa, held a courtesy meeting with European Union Deputy Head of Delegation Baiba Zarina at the EU office in Dhaka on Monday, October 20.
The discussion covered the current political landscape in Bangladesh, women’s political participation, the protection of women’s rights, workplace skill development, and the vital role of women in the nation’s overall development.
The delegation included Professor Dr Habiba Akhter Chowdhury, Central Working Committee (CWC) Member and Political Secretary; Advocate Sabikunnahar Munni, CWC Member and Secretary for Human Resources, Law and Human Rights; Ayesha Siddika Parveen, CWC Member and Secretary for Dhaka Metropolitan South; Sufia Jamal, CWC Member and Secretary for Dhaka Metropolitan North; and Assistant Professor Laila Mariam, Advisory Council Member for Dhaka Metropolitan South.
