A strong tremor jolted various parts of the country, including capital Dhaka, on Wednesday afternoon.
According to USGS website of USA, the earthquake measuring 6.8 on the Richter scale at its epicenter in Myanmar was felt around 4:37pm in the capital.
The earthquake started around 4:34 pm at the epicenter, he said.
However, there was no immediate report of any damage or casualty.
On Tuesday morning, a mild tremor, measuring 5.3 on the Richter scale, shook the country.
