Wonder Cake whips up a ‘wonderful day’ of creativity and joy

Wonder Cake, one of Bangladesh’s most beloved bakery brands, transformed the Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy into a vibrant playground of imagination on Friday with its flagship youth engagement event, ‘Wonderful Day’ – a celebration of creativity, confidence, and youthful exuberance.

The daylong festival drew 500 talented students from 100 schools across the Dhaka Division, all selected from a staggering pool of 5,000 art submissions. What awaited them was far more than just an art competition—it was a full-spectrum experience blending colour, competition, curiosity, and cake-fuelled fun.

At the heart of the event was a spirited art contest judged by a panel of five respected art educators from Viqarunnisa Noon School and College and Mirpur Girls’ Ideal Laboratory Institute. The top 10 young artists walked away with not just certificates, but practical kitchen appliances—ovens, blenders, and electric cookers—symbolising Wonder Cake’s playful nudge toward nurturing creativity beyond the canvas and into everyday life. Every participant, meanwhile, received a specially curated gift box from the brand, ensuring no one left empty-handed.

But the creativity didn’t stop at the easel. From energetic sports relays to brain-teasing quizzes and a spellbinding magic show, the venue buzzed with laughter and excitement. Interactive games and creative challenges ran from noon into the evening, each offering rewards and exclusive Wonder Cake goodies that kept spirits—and sugar levels—high.

“This event is about more than cakes or competitions,” said Ahammad Ali Hasan, General Manager (Marketing) at Wonder Cake. “It’s about lighting a spark in young minds—encouraging them to dream boldly, create fearlessly, and believe in themselves. From 5,000 submissions to 500 young stars here today, we’re just getting started. In the coming years, we aim to take ‘Wonderful Day’ nationwide.”

The event was also attended by Tamim Rahul, Assistant Brand Manager, and Walidur Rahman, Deputy Manager (Event), who worked closely with educators and organisers to ensure a seamless, joyful experience for every child.

As the sun set over Shilpakala Academy, the air was thick not just with the scent of freshly baked treats—but with the unmistakable energy of a generation being gently, joyfully, inspired. For Wonder Cake, it wasn’t just a wonderful day. It was a promise for many more to come.
