‘Rivals’ gun down Juba Dal activist in Chattogram

An activist of Jatiyatabadi Juba Dal, the BNP’s youth wing, was shot dead in Raozan of Chattogram on Saturday, October 25, afternoon in what police describe as a targeted attack by ‘rivals’.

The victim has been identified as Alamgir, alias Alam, 55, a resident of Ward 9 in Raozan Municipality. The shooting occurred around 4:15 pm.

Raozan Police Station Officer-in-Charge Monirul Islam Bhuiyan confirmed the incident, stating, “A murder has taken place. Police rushed to the scene and have launched a field operation to identify and apprehend the assailant.”

While authorities referred to the attacker as an “opponent,” they have not yet disclosed further details, saying an investigation is ongoing.
