4 more die from dengue, 1,041 hospitalised in 24 hrs

Four more deaths were reported from dengue in the last 24 hours, taking the total number of fatalities from the mosquito-borne disease to 273 so far this year.

Of the new deaths, three were reported in Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC), and one was recorded in Mymensingh division (Out of CC).

During the period, 1,041 more patients were hospitalised with the viral fever, raising the total cases to 67,464 to date this year, the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) said in a statement today (October 28).

Of the new cases, 174 were recorded in Barishal division (Out of CC), 120 in Chattogram division (Out of CC), 206 in Dhaka division (Out of CC), 230 in Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC), and 140 in Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC).

Besides, 49 new cases were recorded in Khulna division (Out of CC), 49 in Mymensingh division (Out of CC), 45 in Rajshahi division (Out of CC), 19 in Rangpur division (Out of CC), and nine in Sylhet division (Out of CC).
