Md Shahjahan Mia, administrator of Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC), has been removed from his position. He was serving as an additional secretary at the Local Government Division while also holding the post of managing director (MD) of Dhaka Wasa.
A gazette notification issued by the Ministry of Public Administration on Wednesday (October 29) stated that he has been transferred to the Ministry of Disaster Management and Relief as an additional secretary. However, no reason was mentioned for his removal.
Earlier, while serving as an additional secretary at the Ministry of Commerce, Shahjahan Mia was transferred to the Local Government Division on February 12 this year. The following day, the division issued a notification appointing him as the administrator of DSCC.
Later, on May 18, he was also given the additional charge of managing director of Dhaka Wasa.
