Interim govt convenes first-ever press conference Monday

The interim government has convened its first-ever press conference at the Chief Adviser’s Office on Monday, November 3, at 12 noon, the Chief Adviser’s Press Wing announced on Sunday.

The event will take place in Karabi Hall at the CAO in Tejgaon and is open exclusively to accredited journalists holding valid security passes.

This marks the first time in nearly 15 months, since the interim government assumed office, that a press conference has been convened at the Chief Adviser’s Office.

Previous briefings have typically been held at the Foreign Service Academy or the Chief Adviser’s official residence, Jamuna.

Although the press wing did not specify the agenda, sources familiar with the matter indicated that the Council of Advisers is expected to meet earlier on Monday to discuss the implementation of the “July Charter.” Key details from that meeting are likely to be shared during the afternoon briefing.

The move signals a potential shift toward greater public communication from the interim administration as it navigates critical phases of its transitional mandate.
