All members of the Bangladesh Army remain “100% loyal and trustworthy” to the Chief of Army Staff and the senior leadership, and the force is now more united and bonded in brotherhood than ever before, a senior commander has affirmed.
Lieutenant General Md Mainur Rahman, General Officer Commanding of the Army Training and Doctrine Command (GOC ArtDoc) at the Army Headquarters, made the remarks during a press briefing at Army Headquarters on Wednesday, November 5.
Addressing concerns about misinformation, the General said, “It is regrettable that certain vested interests are spreading false and fabricated propaganda aimed at undermining the army – particularly its leadership.” He stressed that such narratives do not reflect reality.
“I want to assure the public that every member of the Bangladesh Army is fully committed to the Chief of Army Staff and the senior command,” he said. “The institution stands united, with a stronger sense of brotherhood than at any time in recent memory.”
General Mainur added that the army is determined to rise above social media-driven disinformation. “We will move forward as one force, focused on fulfilling our current and future responsibilities with integrity,” he said. “Our response to falsehoods will be grounded in truth and demonstrated through our actions.”
He also highlighted the army’s sustained deployment over the past 15 months in support of the civilian administration. “Despite operating in extremely challenging and adverse conditions, our personnel have discharged their duties with the highest degree of professionalism,” he noted.
