Five more deaths were reported from dengue in the last 24 hours, taking the total number of fatalities from the mosquito-borne disease to 307 this year.
Of the new deaths, one was reported in Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC), one in Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) and another in Mymensingh division (Out of CC).
During the period, 1,034 more patients were hospitalised with the viral fever, raising the total cases to 76,026 to date this year, the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) said in a statement today (November 6).
Of the new cases, 134 were recorded in Barishal division (Out of CC), 103 in Chattogram division (Out of CC), 188 in Dhaka division (Out of CC), 200 in Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC), and 171 in Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC).
Besides, 55 new cases were recorded in Khulna division (Out of CC), 66 in Mymensingh division (Out of CC), 79 in Rajshahi division (Out of CC), 33 in Rangpur division (Out of CC), and five in Sylhet division (Out of CC).
