A fire broke out in two buses of Daffodil International University (DIU) in Mirpur-2, Dhaka, at 2:50 am on Saturday (November 8).
Upon receiving the report, two units of the Fire Service rushed to the scene and brought the blaze under control.
Rashed Bin Khalid, Duty Officer at the Fire Service control room, said the fire was reported at 2:50 am, and the units reached the location by 2:55 am. With the joint efforts of the two units, the fire was controlled by 3:06 am and completely extinguished by 3:28 am.
The Fire Service added that preliminary investigations suggest the fire may have been caused by an electrical short circuit. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.
Authorities said the swift response helped prevent significant damage.
