A young man along with 23 kg gold was arrested by customs officials from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in the capital on Wednesday night.The arrestee is Md Ataul Majid, 32, a passenger of Singapore Airlines. The flight of Singapore Airlines landed at the airport around 10:34pm.MH Ahsanul Kabir, Assistant Commissioner of Customs, confirmed the matter to Jagonews24.com. He said, acting on a tip-off, custom officials challenged Majid while he was crossing the green channel at the airport in a wheelchair.Searching Majid’s body, they recovered 225 gold bars and some ornaments, he added.
