201 more get GPA-5, 308 pass after fail in Dhaka Board

The results of the answer script re-evaluation for this year’s Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and equivalent examinations were published on Sunday morning. Under the Dhaka Board, 201 more students have now achieved GPA-5, while 308 students who had previously failed have passed.

Sources said that 89,671 students applied for re-evaluation under the Dhaka Board. Among them, the results of 2,331 students were revised, and the grades of 2,373 students changed.

The original HSC and equivalent results were published on 16 October. This year, across 11 education boards, the overall pass rate was 58.83%, with 69,097 students achieving GPA-5. 

In comparison, last year’s pass rate was 77.78%, showing a decline of 18.44%. The number of GPA-5 achievers also decreased by 76,814 compared to the previous year.
